i just asked for a label

So this happened last night. We were sat on the sofa just watching telly like we do every Sunday. I dont know why I did it but I just asked him what we actually are. It had been nearly a year of this. I just felt like I needed to know. He looked at me and said he isnt ready for a label yet. He said he likes how things are and that he doesnt want to ruin what we have by putting a name on it. I just felt numb. I told him that I wanted more and he just shrugged and said he thought we were fine. Whatever that means. It felt like he was talking about a different relationship entirely. I didnt even argue because I was just so tired. I just went home after that. I feel like I have been waiting for something that isnt ever going to happen. It was a long walk back to my place and I just thought about how many times I have done that journey after one of these talks. I am sorry for the essay, just needed to get this out somewhere. Idk what to do next tbh.
